Burnt pork chops and no sauce on take out. Called when I got home. They wanted me to come back in. I told them to make a note if it and I would be back another day. When I came in with receipt and pics they said they would of only given me sauce. They just lost a customer of over 25 years

Great steak salad and pork chops!

We went here today and the older waitress was very nice however the thin waitress with the long black hair was very rude from the beginning. She acted like we were a bother. Then when we asked about the beer menu she said it's on the wall in a funky tone. We forgot to ask to have to separate bills and she rolled her eyes. Then we also asked a bus boy a question and he acted like we were a bother as well. So we cancelled our food order and left. The waitress who stated she's been there for years was very nice and very apologetic. They need everyone to be polite like she was. However no one needs to be treated rudely. We will not go back as long as that waitress is there.

I love good BBQ, this is NOT good BBQ. I did not watch them make the Ribs, but I believe they were boiled then tossed on the grill before served. The meat in the ribs were tough and stringy, hardly the “Fall Off the bone” as described in the menu. The meat also had little pork flavor, which is why I believe it was boiled first. The worst part was what they called BBQ Sauce. The best way I could describe it is Tomato Paste with a few spices and hot sauce. I scraped the BBQ Sauce off it was so bad. My friend got the same Ribs and she shared the same opinions. My wife got the pork loin, she only ate a few bites and decided to leave the remainder. The onion rings were great and the coleslaw was decent. Only one waitress was working and she still provided good service. I went here for BBQ and it was Horrible.

Food was delicious! Service was pretty good, however they do not tell you that if you pay using a card that there is an almost $5 fee.... Overall very satisfying visit.

Went in to get a few meals to go. An order of ribs, 1/2 chicken, baked potatoes, veggies and chili. Pretty dissapointed. The veggies were a from a frozen bag we both threw them away they were horrible. Chicken was ok at best. He didn't care for the ribs. He said the chili was good. Was there in the past it was good. Don't know what happened.

The waitress was awesome pretty and entertaining her guest at the bar was a good stop while we got our car fixed next door.

Good food, good prices and great wait staff

If you're looking for great tasting BBQ, fair prices, good service and old time family environment this is your place. I've been going here for years and when I'm out of town eating BBQ I use Elliott's as the standard everyone else should live up to.

I visit this place specifically for the centercut porkchops when I can. One of the lowest prices for the meat cuts in the greater Pittsburgh area.

This was sometime last year. Food was good only complaint was our waitress . Everything was fine until we got our check. there were three of us and she gave us one check with out asking how they were going. When we politely asked for separate checks she gave major attitude and threw my one friends check onto his plate into a pile of ketchup. The restaurant was empty so I don’t understand why this was such a huge deal as I am a waitress myself. She didn’t even finish helping us another much nicer lady finished closing us out. Don’t plan on going here again and not recommending it to anyone if that’s how they let their staff act after reading other reviews that state a similar experience.

Pork chops were terrible, have eaten there for years. Was very disappointed

This was a disappointment. I was pretty pumped up for good bbq and it was far from that. I had a bbq combo, the pull pork was dry along with the pork chop and the sauce was horrible. I would recomend the smoked sausage it was huge and very tasty. I give it 2 stars you may think differently though. Everyone's taste buds are different.

Always get a good hearty meal at Elliot's. I wish they would return to plain old iceburg lettuce in their salads. The meat whether chicken or steak is so good and seasoned just right that mixed greens take away from it. Not something most would normally say but in this case it fits. Chop up that lettuce verses the time saver bag and return to Elliot's roots. Salad is still a nice size though. Sweet and Tangy BBQ sauce still rocks.In response to my review:. I'm all for healthy salads in alternate locations but loved when it was just iceberg lettuce, lots of cheese, fresh vegetables and your superbly seasoned chicken or steak only. In my opinion, the alternate lettuce changes your old staple, which didn't need fixed. Good cover try response though. Haha

Had the combo with wings, chicken breast and hot sausage. Great service and speed, chicken wings and breasts were dry and bland. Hot sausage was pretty solid. Wasn't impressed with the sauce.

Good food great service. Side salads are bigger than you would expect. Stuffed peppers we're good wings where are breaded which cut me off card but they were tasty. We were advised that the French onion soup was not to be missed. One person referred to as liquid gold. I must say they were right. If you are a fan of french onion soup this is one of the best I found.

First time visit and with the crew I work with. Absolutely loved the buffalo chicken salad. It was so huge! Waitress was very friendly and professional. I would suggest this place to ANYONE!!!

I was wanting the prime rib but it is not served on Friday only on Saturday they have the best prime rib and I was looking forward to it as it was my birthday and I had a steak instead so I was disappointed

Incredibly disappointing. Sauce tastes like plain tomato sauce, ribs were burnt, just horrible. I am not here to argue with you and I wish I did not have to write a review about this but as you can see from many other reviewers, they feel the same. These were clearly burnt. I'm not trying to be a jerk. I just expected better quality.

The food was very delicious.There were many nice people and there was a short wait for our food.I would recommend eating here.

Chops little tough .

The food an sauce were very good, but my order which was the special got messed up. I never got my fries when the waitress told me they were on there way when I got my chops. We never got asked for a refill on our drinks, an when I asked about my fries the watress just asked me back you didn't get fries? She knocked off 2 dollars off the bill, I had to ask both watresses for a carry out box twice.

Server was very rude. Overheard him complain the minute we walked in the door and gave us an attitude the entire time we were there. Only time he was nice was the moment he gave us the check. The food was not very good either, ribs and steak were very fatty and hard to eat. I personally will never go back there.

I was little surprised that the food wasn't better. The portion sizes were very large! Don't worry about going hungry plenty to eat for sure.

Good stuff Try da chops

Took entire family for a Friday evening dinner. We have been going there since my kids were young. Now we are taking our grandkids. They make the best burger around but also make a great smoked brisket and prime rib. Try their specials. Great pour on wine. Fair prices.

Excellent fish sandwich. And the onion rings were even better. A bit pricey for the fish. But, other menu items were more reasonable, and offered a better value. But it was Friday, and I really wanted my fish. Next time, will give a shot on o ed of the other sandwiches.

Not a fan . I ordered the pork bbq sandwich . It arrived , nearly black in color. The meat was so leathery & just tasted old . Server never asked us how our meal was so I am telling everyone else about my experience. Wanted to try the lemon cello cake but when I asked our server about it , she stated , “i have worked here for three months and have never sold nor handled a dessert “. Lol . I didn’t know what to say , but knew I should pass at this point . Won’t be back.

LOVED the pulled pork sandwich. Best I ever had in pennsylvania. Great coleslaw. Generous portions. Will return.

Sometimes theres just too much fatty meat. But i love it drenched in their mild to medium sauce.

Great service. The staff was ready for our group of 18. The employees were great and my 16 ounce steak was too!

Really good food. Kind of your local dive bar feel, but better. Definitely a place to try.
